Thai Acupressure can be integrated into various forms of bodywork. Typically performed on a mat on the floor, the client remains dressed in loose, comfortable clothing. The practitioner uses their hands, elbows, fingers, knees, and feet, and sometimes additional tools like Haeek (Guwaha) or Tok Sen, to target specific lines and points. In some cases, oil is applied to the skin. The techniques used in Thai Acupressure can be effectively combined with different bodywork styles, such as Thai Massage, Tui Na, Deep Tissue, or Swedish massage Thai or Acu-Yoga combines the benefits of acupressure and yoga. Both methods work to relieve muscle tension and balance the body’s vital energy. Each Acu-Yoga posture naturally stretches and applies pressure to certain nerves, muscles, and acupressure points, activating the meridians and releasing tension. This process helps energy (chi) flow freely throughout the body.
